Musgrave Northern Ireland and its Centra and SuperValu brands were honoured this week at the 2025 Retail Industry Awards in London, with three top titles and two highly commended accolades.
For the second year in a row, McPolin’s Centra in Annaclone walked away with the sought-after Independent Retailer of the Year title (in the up to 1,500sq ft group). The store, which achieved the highest-ever audit score, was commended for its grassroots community support, fundraising efforts and impeccable standards.
In Derry~Londonderry, Centra Moran’s on Strand Road won the Food-to-Go Retailer of the Year (over 3,001 sq ft category). A go-to destination for students, families and commuters, judges highlighted the store’s vibrant branding, in-store theatre, five-star hygiene and ultra-low wastage.
Leading convenience brand Centra NI beat off the competition to secure the coveted Symbol/Franchise Group of the Year award – praised for its investment in value for shoppers and in local food following the £14m launch of the Good Food Locally Sourced range last year. It was also commended for its commitment to sustainability and inclusive employment through its partnership with the NOW Group.
Conway’s Centra Dunman in Cookstown was also highly commended in the Drinks Retailer of the Year category, while the team at SuperValu Lurgan picked up a highly commended award for Store Team of the Year.
