SuperValu TidyTowns

Supporting vibrant communities

The SuperValu TidyTowns annual competition has been running for 60 years and has become Ireland’s most effective community sustainability initiative.

With local committees working to improve issues such as biodiversity, recycling and overall sustainability, the SuperValu TidyTowns competition is now a champion for environmental development. By its very nature, the competition supports vibrant communities by bringing people together in a spirit of collaboration, with a collective vision to make their local areas better places in which to live and work.

SuperValu has been the sponsor of the competition for the past 30 years. Like TidyTowns, SuperValu stores are also at the heart of communities across Ireland, and our independent retailers are part of the fabric of the towns and villages they serve – making the partnership the perfect fit.

Over three decades, we have worked closely with the Department of Rural and Community Development to grow SuperValu TidyTowns and evolve its focus on the sustainability of communities.
