Ryan’s Centra: working hard to meet the needs of customers

Earlier this month Ryan’s Centra in Ennis, Co. Clare won “Centra Store of the Year” at the Centra National Conference in Killarney. Competition judge Alan Collins praised the store for its unique shopping experience, top quality fresh food and excellent customer service.

Store owners Paul and Kay Ryan paid tribute to their team when accepting the award, saying: “Our passionate workforce that is expertly led by our store manager Kate Sherlock, strive towards a common goal – which is providing the absolute best service, product offering and value for our customers. We are delighted with this award, as it recognises and endorses the work we do to provide our customers with a top class local shopping facility”.

There were 10 finalists at this year’s awards, which celebrate stores which demonstrate exceptionally high standards and also a commitment to making a difference to the local community. The awards embody the ethos of Centra – working hard in the local community to meet the needs of our customers. This is key to our success, and the reason why we’re the No.1 convenience retailer in Ireland. Last year we recorded record sales of €1.54 billion and we are embarking on ambitious growth plans for 2016. As part of a €16 million investment, we’ll be opening a further 16 stores this year, creating 480 jobs across the Centra network. Find out more here
