SuperValu, Ireland’s number one independent supermarket network has pledged to help Irish Shoppers make their cents go further in 2012 with the introduction of the Daily Basics range. The new range features essential “basics” to cover shoppers’ needs for everyday living and cooking, at an average 60% cheaper than big brands.
The new Daily Basics range is aimed at making it easy for savvy shoppers to save on average 60% on their household basics and to help hard pressed families claw back some of the €30 per week they lost due to the austerity measures introduced in last December’s budget.
Daily Basics has been developed by SuperValu to help shoppers save money on household staples. Shoppers can enjoy a budget breakfast with great value food items such as Daily Basics White Bread (85c), Daily Basics Eggs (€1.75c), Daily Basics Smoked/Unsmoked Twin Packed Rashers (€2.79) and Daily Basics White & Black Pudding (92c). School lunches can be made more affordable with Daily Basics Brown Bread only 75c and Cooked Ham Slices 78c.
Non-food items such as Daily Basics Fabric Conditioner (€1.21) and Daily Basics Kitchen Towels (€1.27) are also available. And now you can keep your fires burning all through January with Daily Basics Firelighters for only 50c!
