Local and Irish

Championing local produce

At Musgrave we are passionate about supporting local producers and we are committed to promoting quality Irish food and drink which shoppers trust and enjoy

Irish produce is widely recognised to be high quality, delicious and trusted. At Musgrave we are committed to supporting the thousands of passionate and skilled Irish producers who create this fantastic food and drink that we know consumers enjoy. From large producers to small, from farmers to artisans, from bakers to brewers, they all make up the exciting food scene in Ireland.

Through our market leading brands, we support ‘Local and Irish’ by stocking local produce wherever possible, supporting small producers through our Food Academy programme, and promoting local food and drink through marketing campaigns.

At SuperValu 75% of all products are sourced in Ireland, supporting a massive 1,800 Irish suppliers. And both SuperValu and Centra have partnered with Guaranteed Irish, a business membership organisation for Irish suppliers, to further promote local products in-store to shoppers.
