Garvey’s SuperValu Corbally wins Best Small SuperValu Store Award for 2019

Garvey’s SuperValu in Corbally, Limerick has been named Best Small SuperValu Store for 2019. The retailer beat stiff competition from other finalists to receive the award at the SuperValu National Conference, which was held in the Great Southern Hotel, Killarney, Co Kerry.

The SuperValu Corbally team from the long-established Garvey Group were presented with their award by Martin Kelleher, SuperValu Managing Director, Ian Allen, SuperValu Sales Director and JF Michel, Account Director of Three Business, the competition’s sponsors.

Winning the store title is recognition of the exceptional standards that SuperValu Garvey’s in Corbally has attained. The store beat competing outlets throughout the Republic of Ireland, which were audited and adjudicated by independent competition judge and retail consultant, Matthew Brown. The store audits focused on product range and quality, customer service, store presentation and innovation, fresh food offering and store hygiene standards.

Receiving the award, Gerard Walsh, store manager of Garvey’s Corbally, paid tribute to his team and acknowledged that their enthusiasm and dedication was instrumental in the store scooping the award. “I’d like to thank all of the hard-working, dedicated staff at Garvey’s Corbally for this great victory. We’re lucky to have great employees working for us who strive to deliver the best customer experience, day in day out at the store. We are all focused on providing the best service, product offering and value for our customers. I am honoured to accept this award on behalf of the team – it recognises all the hard work that they put in.”
