We’re hiring hundreds of new staff to boost supply chain capacity
We are now hiring hundreds of new staff on a temporary basis to meet demand across our retail stores around the country. We are primarily recruiting people with experience in retail, fresh food, hospitality, driving and warehousing, and have reached out specifically to representative groups of businesses who have been impacted by COVID-19 such as the Restaurants Association of Ireland and the Irish Hotels Federation.Read more
Plexiglass for added protection
We have rolled out plexiglass across SuperValu, Centra and Daybreak stores as an added protective measure for shoppers and cashiers against Coronavirus. This follows the other social distancing and preventative measures that have already been introduced such as hand sanitisers and tape on the floor to show customers how far to stay apart in queues, along with community supports for elderly and vulnerable people.Read more
Making payments safer
SuperValu, Centra and Musgrave MarketPlace are now accepting the new €50 contactless limit as a result of its partnership with Barclaycard Payments. Customers are able to pay for purchases up to €50 with their contactless card or for higher value transactions with compatible smart devices.Read more
