We are recruiting for a Trainee Butcher, working 35 hours per week, working day, evening and weekend shifts
Duties will include cutting, preparing and displaying all types of fresh meat and poultry whilst maintaining quality, freshness and excellent customer service at all times.
Duties will include preparation, some cooking and service of food from our deli food bar.
Assist with ordering, receiving, stocking and display of product whilst maintaining quality, freshness and excellent customer service at all times.
Daily duties will include adhering to food handling procedures and HACCP principles.
Please note, due to health and safety reasons, candidates must be aged 18 or over in order to operate the meat slicing machinery.
You will also be required to work on the store floor as and when needed
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Training will be provided, however candidates ideally should have some experience as a meat slicer/ working on a Deli counter, ideally in a retail environment, and have practical ability to cut and prepare meat and poultry.
Ideally, candidates will also hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. This role involves working directly with customers, therefore candidates must have excellent customer service skills.
