Reporting to the Trading Services Manager, the trading assistant will be responsible for providing administration support to the Promotion Specialist, Range and Space Planning Manager as well as the wider Trading Operations Department, mainly through product and price file maintenance on two systems which support our three brands.

This is a great opportunity for someone to gain exposure to buyers within a busy retail environment and learn about trading operations.

The majority of the work will be office based (remote currently) with the occasional requirement to visit stores as and when required. 

The key responsibilities of this position will include:

  • Provide comprehensive administration support
  • Collation, verifying and presentation of information
  • Timely and accurate processing of data
  • Build effective cross functional relationships to enhance service delivery
  • Ensure adherence to company policy and calendar deadlines
  • Collation of retailer bulletin information and communications as required
  • CRM query resolution from inception to conclusion on behalf of Promotional, Range and Price File related queries
  • Analyze, review and suggest improvement to ways of working to reduce CRM queries
  • Supplier queries – resolution of barcode / other general price & product related queries as required
  • Work effectively with the Promotion Specialist to ensure smooth running of promotional activities and the transfer of key data
  • Work effectively with the Range and Space Planning Manager to ensure system accuracy of range and communication of key data

The ideal candidate will have/be:

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • A min. of 6 months – 1 year of working in a busy working environment
  • Previous experience of administration / data input
  • Experience working to tight deadlines whilst ensuring accuracy of output
  • Experience of using databases and working with high volumes of data
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent Time Management skills
  • High Level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to develop and maintain cross functional working relationships
  • Can do attitude with the ability to embrace change
  • Strong communication skills

 

Desirable:

  • Previous administration experience within a trading or retail environment
  • A-level or 3rd level qualification (business or commercial related)
