Role Objective

To provide administrative support to the Promotions Manager to deliver the Promotional strategy objectives for the business. Support implementation of the promotional plan across Musgrave Marketplace, Daybreak, Day Today, SME, CJ O`Loughlin and Independent brands.


  • Prepare all files for Marketplace, Daybreak, Day Today and CJ O`Loughlin promotions
  • Support management of key deadlines to Trading Team
  • Prepare Post Promo analysis for promotions meetings, ensure all updates have been captured and sent to Finance to be issued to the business.
  • Prepare agenda for Promotions meetings and issue reports to stakeholders, follow up where applicable
  • Ensure quality and data accuracy of all promotional information
  • Ensure all post promotion meeting changes are issued and closed off
  • Maintain and issue Daybreak file for the sales team for ordering purposes
  • Prepare final promotional information for all departments including Pricing and sales team
  • Liaise with Marketing regarding all promotion flyers
  • Maintain promotions Masterfile
  • Prepare CJ O`Loughlin file - liaise with CJ Sales team for product selection
  • CJ flyer preparation, follow up with Trading team to ensure products selected are active and pricing is correct.
  • Check all proofs against files and maintain correct file for CJ`s
  • Handle day to day queries with Marketing, Trading, Sales teams and Branches

Education & Experience


  • Minimum 2 years administration Skills
  • Good level of numeracy skills
  • Organisational Skills
  • Interpersonal & Communications Skills (written & verbal)
  • Ability to adapt to a varied workload and dependable
  • Excellent PC Skills (Advanced Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • A Team Player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Business qualification desirable but not essential
