Profitability - Winning Store Operating Model - Project Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for a successful candidate to join our Retailer Profitability team in a newly created role of Winning Store Operating Model (WSOM) Project Analyst
This role will be responsible for the completion of retailer specific profitability analysis with the core objective of improving bottom line performance for our retail partners.
This role will also form part of the wider Retailer Profitability team while also working closely with the Head of Strategic Projects in a cross-functional capacity spanning all Modules of the WSOM Programme in providing analytical reporting support to the delivery of the most efficient in store operating model for Musgrave and our Independent Retailers.
The Role is suited to an ambitious individual with a desire to drive change and efficiency that will work with the Module Leads in delivering bottom line profitability enhancements for Musgrave and our Retailers.
Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:
- Providing analytical support to the Business and Retailers in developing and maintaining the Quantified Labour Model for stores which will form the basis to both deliver and measure the success of the WSOM Programme
- Analyzing data, and support Leads in identifying opportunities for efficiency improvement.
- Ensuring a data driven and key KPI focused approach to design and roll out of the WSOM programme across the Business and Retailers.
- Provides relevant & insightful information & analysis to key stakeholders through Project and Programme meetings.
- Conducting Profitability and benchmark Review meetings with SuperValu and Centra retailers and analysing financial reports and data, identifying opportunities for profit improvement.
- Driving retailer engagement in Cost Saving initiatives – regular monthly cadence with senior SuperValu and Centra sales teams.
- Provides relevant & insightful information & analysis to key stakeholders.
- Builds and maintains cross functional relationships with other Support functions across Musgrave as well as with the Stores providing support on new and improved ways to profit drive enhancement for the retailer estate.
- Promote cost awareness, saving opportunities and a continuous improvement culture throughout the business, through regular engagement and a strong focus on costs.
- Actively contributes to the insight & clarity provided by the finance team around recent retail performance from both a sales & margin perspective.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
The successful candidates will possess the following:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant, ACCA or CIMA (minimum of 5 years PQE)
- Financial analysis and interpretation experience
- Excellent analytical mindset and highly numeric
- Commercial experience in Musgrave or an external business environment is an advantage.
- Ambition and passion to achieve lowest cost and optimise efficiency
- Strong attention to detail and likes to work cross functionally
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- A self-motivated approach to work - can do attitude
- Strong interpersonal & stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of the Irish retail industry a distinct advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
