Marketplace Transport Supervisor

Role Purpose:

To support, Transport Management, CDC Transport Supervisors and Transport Driving Team by achieving all transport administration duties so that depot targets are met. Drive compliance reporting and monitoring across the transport network. Full adherence of transport compliance requirements and targets in order to facilitate `best in class` operating standards. Improve efficiency, and drive down cost, utilizing Transport network and identifying synergies.

Ballymun Marketplace: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00

Role Scope:

  • Support the transport team to provide a cost effective fit for purpose transport model that allows us to get it right first time every time.
  • Completion of transport administration tasks
  • Health and Safety and all applicable legislative compliance
  • Drive efficiencies, synergies and cost saving with support of CDC
  • Completion of daily de-briefing with all drivers

Key Activities:

  • Support and manage on site Transport Driving Team, to ensure Marketplace orders are delivered in a cost-effective manner
  • Route Planning
  • Maintain effective communication with all key stakeholders, managers, drivers, customers and other relevant departments.
  • Produce daily/weekly transport KPI`s
  • On-time delivery service levels completed daily/weekly
  • Audit, monitor, implement and ensure compliance with all relevant transport legislation including tachograph compliance, driver working hours, and H&S

Essential Education and Experience Required;

  • Transport knowledge - legislation and operational
  • Min. 3 years` experience in Retail/Foodservice distribution in a supervisory or management role
  • Ability to work to set deadlines and to self- motivate
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to build relationships with individual & business stakeholders
  • Diploma in Transport Management or similar qualification
  • Full C License
  • CPC Qualification

Desirable:

  • Experience of working to KPIs
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Experience working in a fast paced distribution environment
  • Proven track record of impacting and influencing key stakeholders within the business
