HR Officer (Maternity Cover)

Role Purpose

To work as a partner to the HRBPs & HR Operations Manager to provide the full range of HR services that enables them to achieve their business objectives.

The overall objective of the role is to contribute to the provision of a professional Human Resource service by delivering best practice advice and support on people management issues to managers, supervisors, employees to support the HR team in delivering same to Musgrave Wholesale Partners and La Rousse Foods.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide interpretation and advice on all HR policies to Managers and colleagues to promote consistent and fair application
  • Management of the recruitment processes in your defined areas; including recruitment, new starters, leavers, contract extensions and related compensation and benefits administration
  • Assist in application of fair procedure in disciplinary and grievance processes including counselling managers through investigations, meetings and hearings
  • Co-ordinate, plan and deliver various training interventions
  • KPI reporting on absence, turnover and analysis of industry trends to support the business
  • Support the governance and best practice HR process and procedures for the Marketplace sites, to include audits and support to the wider HR and Customer Service Managers and General Managers
  • Work with business managers to ensure performance management fairness and consistency, problem solving/open door consistency, engagement and communication processes/mechanisms are effective.
  • Assist in formulation of training needs from PDR`s, scheduling and co-ordinating all training courses, act as point of contact for employees with regard to training and development
  • Maintain excellent relationships with managers and colleagues.
  • Ensure company policies are updated with relevant legislative changes including disciplinary, maternity leave, parental leave
  • Provide support for HR wide initiatives including engagement, training and development, salary review and bonus

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Education, Experience & Skills

  • Degree in HR/Business related discipline or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years` experience in a similar fast paced HR role (Retail, manufacturing, logistics is desirable, but not essential)
  • Full Driving license as travel will be required
  • Effective time management skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Motivated self-starter that is adaptable and willing to learn
  • Excellent PC skills to include all aspects of Microsoft Office in particular Excel
  • Excellent communication & influencing skills
