We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Business Partner to join our team established team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of an exceptional HR service for up to 15 Company Owned (SuperValu and Centra) stores across Northern Ireland, which continues to expand. You will be adding value, delivering best practice and statutory compliance, and proactively implementing the people strategy in line with the business objectives.

The role will be responsible for the management of human resource activities within Company Owned stores. The role could suit an established HR Manager looking a new challenge or a senior HR Officer looking for their next career move.

This is a full-time position 37.5 hours per week. The standard working week is Monday to Thursday 9-1730 and Friday 9-1615. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as part of the demands of the role.

 

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Essential Criteria:

  • CIPD qualified
  • Full driving licence
  • Minimum 3 years previous experience (Senior HR Officer level or above) within a Human Resource function
  • Experience of effectively managing and giving advice on absence management
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Up to date knowledge of employment legislation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to forge effective working relationships at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic and fast-moving environment coupled with the ability to move effectively between strategy and implementation
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Good listening skills

Desirable Criteria:

  • A 3rd level qualification in relevant subject
  • Previous experience of conducting more complex disciplinary and grievance hearings
  • Sound understanding and experience of managing TUPE situations
  • Previous HR experience gained within a retail/ multi-site environment
