Full Time Butchery Assistant

We are currently looking for a full time Butchery Assistant to join our existing team.

Main purpose of these role:
Is to ensure the Meat Department operates efficiently and effectively at all times and to provide our customers with an excellent customer service, quality and products
Main duties:
- To provide our customer with an exceptional customer service
- Advise customer on meat/ fish offering & advise on cooking instructions, if required
- Ensure department standards are met on a daily basis
- Ensure meat/ fish counter & shelves are merchandised and look appealing throughout the day
- Daily orders submitted in timely manner
- Control stock rotation so that quality and freshness of goods is of the highest standard
- Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working
The ideal candidate will have/be:

- Minimum of 1 years previous butchery, fish counter or similar experience is necessary for this role
- A passion for food and the ability to inspire
- Able to provide an exceptional customer service
- Excellent communication skills
- Numerical skill
- The ability to work as part of a team
- HACCP knowledge
- Strong attention to detail, organized and flexible
