Role Purpose

  • Deliver and exceed agreed regional and territory sales, profit and margin targets across the (delivered, collect and online) Foodservice business.
  • Develop the territory by managing a prospect list to secure new customers
  • Drive growth through expanding the range that is currently being supplied to existing accounts.
  • Maintain all accounts within Musgrave MarketPlace agreed credit terms.
  • Manage all customer contracts within the territory, including managing pricing and range to maximise profitability
  • Maintain Territory Management costs within allocated budgets, through good time management, resources management, and the most effective call pattern for each customer.
  • Ensure excellent customer service through friendly, accurate field communication and good administration practices.
  • Provide accurate and relevant information on competitor activity and other trade field information to the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Ensure the correct product mix in each account thus ensuring maximum profitability.
  • Ensure full co-operation via the Territory Telesales Developer, Regional General Managers, Regional Foodservice Floor Managers etc. to ensure maximum growth in your specific territory.
  • Complete all administration as required including Journey plans, Daily Sales Reports, Record Cards and Prospect lists

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Education & Experience         

  • Leaving Cert / GCSE.
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Sales training.
  • Food Qualification (desirable)
  • Understanding of the foodservice customer
  • Networking (sales community)
  • Margins / Reports / Geography
  • Experience/ knowledge in food industry or in direct foodservice sales (competitors/ range/ customers)
  • Proven track record in proactive field sales and achieved targets.
  • Professional Selling skills
  • Customer focused.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Administration skills, planning and time management skills.
  • Forwarding thinking with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Can do Attitude
  • Ability to change, adapt and be flexible
