Centra sponsors the GAA Hurling Championships and in the summer of 2015, over 4,000 children took part in hurling camps.
Centra’s Walk the World initiative encourages thousands of shoppers to don their trainers and raise money for breast cancer each year.
We have more relationships with local Irish suppliers than any other grocer retailer in the Irish market – SuperValu alone sources from over 1,800 local suppliers. From 100% fresh Irish beef, lamb and pork, scratch bakeries in-store, locally-sourced fruit and vegetables, to specialist fish counters, our long term relationships with suppliers give shoppers the very best locally sourced food.
Live well with Centra
Centra is redefining convenience by making the healthy choice, the easy choice. Centra’s Live Well initiative is focused on overall nutrition and balanced, healthy eating, even when consumers are on the go. We worked with consultant dietitian Sarah Keogh to help create a 300-strong product range, which aims to highlight nutritional value, along with information on product sourcing and how to combine ingredients and plan menus to ensure a well-balanced diet. Good Food Karma celebrates the best of real food, healthy eating, and the people that matter. It provides a platform for people to exchange ideas and share their food passions across digital and social channels.
