We invest in technology to make our brands relevant and accessible to shoppers
Building better brands
For 140 years we have prided ourselves on bringing great value and fresh food to the heart of local communities.
We continue to innovate and experiment to keep our offer fresh, stretching our brands to ensure they achieve their full potential. Store design and format directly impacts the consumer experience – which is why we’re working hard to ensure our stores are destinations in themselves, designed so they are a pleasure to spend time in, with services that shoppers can access both online and around the corner.
We are constantly expanding and improving the existing estate and creating new stores associated with each of our leading brands.
We believe that we have to earn consumer loyalty anew every day, finding new and compelling ways to make our brands as relevant and accessible as possible. We continually invest in brands and technology innovation to stay ahead of the consumer. We are committed to building profitable omnichannel brands that customers can access at any time, place or way that suits them. Take how we are turning Centra into Ireland’s first genuinely omnichannel convenience brand by focusing on making shopping with Centra easier and faster.
Digital vouchers on the Centra app are driving thousands of downloads and redemptions, helping us to target offers and deals more effectively, and allowing us to speedily respond to customer demand and feedback.
Beat the queue app
Shoppers told us that their lunch breaks were too precious to waste in a queue. Which is why we’re trialling an app which literally beats the queue. Customers can pre-order their sandwich, to their specification, then collect it in store and pay before they go, giving them more time to enjoy their leisure time.
A new convenience concept in Spain
We continue to develop our Dialprix stores in Spain by way of Dialprix El Súper de la Frescura – our new Super Fresh convenience concept. Emphasising healthier fresher food, the Super Fresh concept is centred on local produce, highlighting the benefits of enjoying a healthy Mediterranean diet and reaffirming our commitment to provide the best of local produce.
