As the barbeque season gets underway, Londis continues to develop its own brand offer, strengthening the Londis reputation for value with the launch of a fresh meat range. The new lines include:

  • Londis beef strips (350g)
  • Londis boneless pork chops (227g)
  • Londis diced pork (400g)
  • Londis frying steak (200g)
  • Londis turkey steaks (350g)
  • Londis turkey stir fry (350g)

The products are hand cut at the group’s retailer service centre (RSC) in Wellingborough to guarantee quality. They offer value to the shopper and healthy profit margins to the retailer of up to 35 per cent.

To complement these own-brand lines Londis is also introducing a new barbeque range under the ‘Ribs’n’Stuff’ brand, including kebabs, pork steaks, minted chops and ribs.

Londis minced steak and chicken lines were launched earlier this year.

Says Willie Hamilton, Londis trading director: “It’s all about making sure we have the right range for customers, with the appropriate mix of brand and own brand available at all times for the consumer. We’ve already increased our fresh ranges, increasing sales by more than £2 million over the last year and doubling the life on product, resulting in increases of sales and profits for retailers.
